IBM is inviting applications for the role of Quality Engineer – Automation at its IBM Consulting Client Innovation Center in Pune. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about automation testing, software quality, and continuous delivery.
As a Quality Engineer, you will work on modern enterprise applications and help reduce manual testing efforts by implementing robust automated testing frameworks across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
🔧 Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automation testing solutions
- Reduce manual testing efforts by implementing effective automation frameworks
- Apply automated tools during all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Support test teams by recommending testing tools, frameworks, and best practices
- Automate test management, reporting, test data generation, and defect tracking
- Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams to support continuous delivery transformation
- Ensure software quality standards are met before production release
🧠 Required Technical & Professional Skills
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
- Strong understanding of Software Development Processes & Testing Life Cycle
- Hands-on experience with:
- Java 1.7
- Selenium / Appium
- Cucumber & BDD tools
- TestNG / JUnit
- Ant / Maven
- Jenkins
- Experience in developing, testing, and validating application changes
- Experience working within Agile / Scrum teams
⭐ Preferred Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of ARIC (Feature Space) commercial product
- Experience in Python
- Experience in Web Services testing
- Self-driven and goal-oriented professional
- Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines
🎓 Educational Qualification
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred: Master’s Degree
