☁️ Job Description – Azure Architect
Infosys is seeking a highly experienced Azure Architect to lead cloud architecture design, enterprise migrations, and modernization initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in Azure core services, DevOps, IaC, security, and microservices, along with strong customer advisory and leadership capabilities.
🔧 Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Azure cloud migration strategies and roadmaps
- Assess existing environments and define target-state Azure architectures
- Design and document scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure solutions
- Build infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / ARM templates)
- Perform engineering design evaluations for new cloud environment builds
- Architect, implement, and improve cloud automation solutions
- Apply industry-standard security best practices across the cloud lifecycle
- Advise senior customer executives on cloud strategy, cost optimization, and innovation
- Design, build, and maintain resilient and scalable platforms
- Manage platform automation and IaC pipelines
- Ensure integration of microservices architectures
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams for smooth deployments
- Act as a trusted advisor on security, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Monitor and optimize Azure workloads for operational excellence
- Implement compliance controls and governance standards
- Utilize monitoring tools such as Dynatrace
- Apply AIOps concepts for proactive issue detection and resolution
- Demonstrate knowledge of DevSecOps practices
🧠 Additional Responsibilities
- Experience working in regulated environments with data privacy compliance
- Strong understanding of cloud migration tools, networking, and integrations
- Experience in cloud cost management and optimization
- Knowledge of change management and capability transformation initiatives
⚙️ Technical & Professional Requirements
✅ Mandatory Skills
- Deep expertise in Azure cloud architecture
- Experience with microservices, serverless, and container-based designs
- Hands-on with Docker & Kubernetes (AKS)
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates)
- CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
- DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Azure Administrator certification or higher (preferred/required)
- Experience designing and deploying Azure Policies
- Strong understanding of Azure core services
