💼 Job Description – Consultant, DevOps Engineer
Genpact is inviting applications for the role of Consultant – DevOps Engineer.
In this position, you will architect, automate, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient AWS cloud infrastructure, implement Infrastructure as Code, build CI/CD pipelines, and support modern DevOps and GitOps practices.
This role is ideal for professionals passionate about AWS cloud engineering, automation, security, and modern DevOps ecosystems.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
☁️ Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, API Gateway, CloudFront
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud systems
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
⚙️ Automation & DevOps
- Build CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
- Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
- Maintain IaC best practices for repeatable and scalable deployments
🔐 Security & Compliance
- Implement AWS security best practices using IAM, KMS, Security Groups, NACLs
- Ensure compliance with ISO, SOC, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards
- Monitor threats using GuardDuty, AWS Config, Security Hub, WAF
- Apply Zero Trust security principles
📊 Monitoring & Performance
- Set up observability using CloudWatch, X-Ray, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki
- Optimize performance using Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, caching
🌐 Networking & Connectivity
- Design and manage VPCs, subnets, route tables, VPNs
- Implement hybrid connectivity using Direct Connect & Site-to-Site VPN
- Manage DNS using Amazon Route 53
🎓 Qualifications Required
✅ Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- AWS Certifications (Preferred):
- AWS Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
- AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
- AWS Security – Specialty
⭐ Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Strong expertise in AWS core services
- Experience with Terraform / CloudFormation
- Proficiency in Docker & Kubernetes (EKS)
- Hands-on CI/CD experience
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, YAML)
- Experience with monitoring & logging tools
- Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices
- Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Experience with serverless, data streaming, NoSQL & relational databases
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads on AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
