🔧 About the Role – Senior Database SRE
Oracle’s Health & AI DB Services team manages 400+ customer databases across multiple global regions. The team ensures high reliability, security, and scalability for healthcare clients who rely on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to run life-critical operations.
This role is ideal for database specialists with deep experience in Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, Exadata, GoldenGate, performance tuning, DevOps, and automation. You will be part of next-generation cloud platform initiatives involving full database lifecycle management.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Lead database migration projects from on-prem to Oracle Cloud & Autonomous Database
- Implement advanced DB techniques like partitioning and compression
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams on strategic roadmap initiatives
- Solve complex infrastructure & DevOps challenges as a trusted technical advisor
- Define & manage SLOs, SLIs, and monitoring infrastructure
- Build automation to eliminate recurring issues
- Participate in incident management, performance tuning, and operational reviews
- Drive improvements for availability, scalability, efficiency & security
- Mentor junior engineers and strengthen team knowledge
