About the Role
IBM is hiring a Hardware Verification Engineer to work on advanced CPU processor and SoC verification for next-generation IBM servers. This role involves functional verification, testbench development, debugging, and collaboration with design teams to deliver high-quality processor designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on functional verification of IBM server processors, SoCs, and ASICs.
- Develop verification environments, testbenches, and test cases.
- Use IBM verification tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with design teams to debug logic design issues.
- Ensure verification coverage goals are met.
- Contribute to test planning and strategy for IP, block, and system-level verification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 9+ years of experience in functional verification of processors or ASICs.
- Experience in:
- Computer architecture, processor core design, ISA, logic verification
- Core/microarchitecture verification
- Cache coherency, memory subsystem verification
- IO protocols (PCIe, CXL, DDR, Ethernet, Flash)
- AXI/AHB/ACE or SoC fabric verification
- Gate-level simulation and emulation
- UVM/OVM/SystemVerilog/SystemC
- Verilog/VHDL
- Test planning and strategy
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and scripting (Python, Perl).
- Experience with Linux/Unix, Git, CI/CD workflows.
- Experience in complex testbench development and debugging.
Preferred Experience
- Stress testing and corner-case identification.
- High-speed SERDES/PHY verification.
- Strong understanding of computer system architecture.
- IP integration and SoC-level verification.
