As a Principal Cloud Operations Engineer at Oracle, you will take technical ownership of mission-critical services, collaborate with global teams, and drive the performance and security of OCI’s foundational infrastructure.
💼 Key Responsibilities
- Lead incident management and production troubleshooting.
- Manage staging/production environments ensuring high availability.
- Own service delivery operations and technical escalations.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and maintenance processes.
- Coordinate release and change management activities.
- Maintain robust monitoring and ensure system security posture.
- Support zero-downtime deployments with DevOps mindset.
- Define innovative cloud migration and deployment solutions.
🛠️ Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years in the IT industry; 7+ in SysAdmin/CloudOps roles.
- Strong Linux administration across hardware families.
- Hands-on with scripting: Python, Bash, Shell (Java/Go a plus).
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, Git.
- Experience with monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, virtualization, and cloud networking.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure architecture and scalability.
